Middle East & SE Asia Humanitarian Relief
Location: Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, & Burma
Purpose: Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through practical love and service to those who have lost everything due to war and violence across the Middle East and SE Asia.
Costs: $9,000-$18,000 per 20,000 lbs. container sent.
This project sends containers packed with humanitarian aid into Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and SE Asia where VBB contacts are distributing supplies to refugees. Our focus is to support those who have been displaced by war. Containers will be ongoing in order to provide basic necessities, such as hygiene items, medical supplies, clothing, shoes, blankets, and school supplies. Donations to this project cover the shipping of containers. Shipping costs range from $9,000 up to $18,000 per container ensuring the aid arrives safely.
NEW!: In addition to shipping costs, we are seeking cost-effective opportunities to provide non-perishable food. If you know of any sources of discounted or free bulk foods that can be taken to our Billings or Casper warehouses we would be glad of the help. We also need donations to cover this expense; we are able to obtain large quantities of food at excellent prices if we can just raise the support for it. (For example, $144 gets us a 1200 lb. pallet of noodles!)
