This home is located in the capital of the Indian State of Mizoram which is home to the Mizo people. In this area there are many broken families and unwanted children. Families have even begged for the home to take in children they could not care for. In such a desperate place, this home is giving hope to these kids.

Current Needs

Support: Abundant Life is not fully supported.

VBB has been raising funds for an urgent need at ALH. The state government requires renovations to the home with a total cost of $2,900.00. To date, $2,530.00 have been received for this project, with $370.00 remaining to be raised. Please prayerfully consider contributing to this need.

Home Update

Abundant Life Home (ALH) is located in Aizawl, which is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. This state is the home of the Mizo people, who are predominantly Christian. This home was started by Mission for Christ to reach poor and orphaned children with the Gospel while meeting their physical needs and providing them with a good education. The children in this home are taught about the love of the Lord and are encouraged to live their lives for Him and His glory.

The home recently had an addition of 2 new children bringing the total living there to 19 (10 boys and 9 girls) plus 3 full-time staff members. The children are all healthy and doing well with their education. The 17 who took mid-term exams all did very well. Mizoram is a predominantly Christian state, which makes the celebration of Christ’s birth a big thing. As you can imagine, the children are all looking forward to celebrating! Playing together and singing is also something they enjoy year-round!

Monthly Home Sponsors

Monthly sponsors commit to donating $35/month* to help provide basic necessities such as housing, food and education for all of the children living there. This model differs from child sponsorship in order to ensure that every child in the home receives the support they need. It also helps with promoting a sense of family in the home, as some of the children have no other family and see the kids they live with just like brothers and sisters.

Though VBB does not directly oversee these homes, we partner with ministries that are doing this work in their own countries.
